LAFTA & SHOCASE together are casting the musical “Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.” Auditions are 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 2 & Wednesday, May 3 with callbacks Thursday, May 4, at the Lebanon High School. Sides from the script will be provided at the audition for cold readings. Be prepared to sing an excerpt from the show’s music; this will be provided pre-audition on request by contacting lafta.board@gmail.com. The show will be directed by Aaron Smith. “Dirty Rotten Scoundrels” is a musical comedy based on the film of the same name, which was written by Dale Launer, Stanley Shapiro, and Paul Henning. The story follows two con men who make their living along the French Riviera by preying on the kindness of rich women. Sophisticated, suave with a good dash of mischief, this hysterical comedy features a delightfully jazzy score and was nominated for a staggering eleven Tony Awards.

The production runs July 21-23 in Lebanon and July 28-29 in Sweet Home. Rehearsals will be on weekday evenings and possibly some weekends, as the opening of the show approaches.
